For design studios

An extra pair of hands, under your name.

I work as an extension of your team, from your drawings. Your templates, your standards, your direction. Documents are issued under your licensed professional — I am not the author of record and have no interest in being, and the relationship with the end client stays with whoever commissioned me.

I am an architect registered with CAU, Brazil’s council of architecture and urbanism, under A245075-5, with six years of residential and commercial projects, most of them carried through to construction documents.

Drafting and documentation

Construction documentation in AutoCAD, to your layer and sheet standards.

Layouts, floor patterning and elevations, dimensioned.

Reflected ceiling plans coordinated with the lighting, not drawn after it.

Millwork details: sections, hardware and the finish on each face.

FF&E schedules a buyer can order from.

I have my own documentation standard — fixed layers, fixed labelling, scenes in a fixed order — and I set it aside when I work for you. A set that arrives in your template and needs no cleaning up is the whole point of commissioning this.

Lighting calculation

Photometric modelling in DIALux using the manufacturer’s files, not generic approximations: point-by-point grids, false-colour maps and a fixture schedule tied to the files used in the model.

I calculate to IES recommended practice values when the project is governed by them, and to the standard you nominate otherwise. My baseline is ABNT NBR ISO/CIE 8995-1, Brazil’s adoption of the international ISO/CIE standard, so the criteria are ones your consultants already recognise.

Energy-code compliance — lighting power density, controls, mandatory measures under IECC or Title 24 — is engineered against the limits your team sets. I design within them. I don’t sign off on them.

If a value cannot be met with the fixtures or the ceiling available, you hear it while it is still a drawing.

How it works

Brazil is one hour ahead of New York and two ahead of Chicago. Overlap is the whole working day, not a window at dawn.

Send the drawings, the scope and the deadline, and you get back a fixed price and a date before anything starts. No hourly estimate that grows.

I am used to being the person who reads the set closely. If I find something that does not resolve — a ceiling that will not take the detail, a clearance that is short, a schedule that contradicts the plan — I say so. That is most of the value of a second pair of eyes, and it costs nothing extra.

Confidentiality is assumed, and I sign your agreement. Nothing I do under your name appears in my portfolio unless you tell me in writing that it can.
